The story:  An old lamp, accompanied by a bracelet, has just made its entry into the Houston Museum of Natural History, in Texas. The jewel strongly interests the curator's daughter, who on a whim puts the bracelet on her wrist. Immediately, the teenager falls under the spell of the magic lamp and the evil spirit it contains commands her to spend the night at the museum with her friends. The forces of evil will rage until dawn.

The film: Released on videocassette in France under the banner of GCR (Gaumont-Columbia-RCA Video), Tom Daley's Lamp left a mark on the memory of video store customers of the time. And for good reason, this revisited and terrifying version of the Aladdin lamp tale has a lot to show. Starting with some absolutely delightful special effects sequences. Magical feats carried out by those who worked on Critters, The Blob, A Nightmare on Freddy, Flic or Zombie, From Beyond, Dolls, and even Re-Animator II. In short, for fans of 1980s horror cinema, The Lamp is a must-see.

For the first time in France, discover or rediscover La Lampe in its full 92-minute version and in a high-definition master restored from the 35 mm interpositive. Our edition features a reversible cover with the original French artwork on one side, and the U.S. poster on the other (under its American release title: The Outing).
